THE HILDEN GROUP

Way back in the early 70s, two ambitious engineers, Mr. R. J. Oswal and Mr. D. Fonseca, realized the necessity to plunge into manufacturing activities in the niche market for bottling plants for beverages, breweries, distilleries, pharmaceuticals, and other products.

Thus Hilden & Co., a partnership company, was born, establishing manufacturing facilities in a small workshop of 1,000 sq. ft. with limited resources out of their hard-earned personal savings.

Thanks to Duke & Sons Pvt. Ltd., who appreciated the potential and inspired Hilden to manufacture a high-speed bottle washer having a capacity of 300 bottles per minute. The machine was the first of its kind built in India with indigenous technology and was commissioned on 15th August 1973 – the 26th Independence Day of India. Thereafter, there was no looking back for Hilden in their progress and introduction of innovative technology and engineering in the field of bottling lines of various capacities and applications with better performance.

Hilden was recognized as an achiever in 1982 when it was awarded a Citation Plaque and Certificate in the Small Scale Industry sector. In 1983, Hilden & Co. changed its status to a Private Limited Company named “Hilden Packaging Machines Pvt. Ltd.”

Over the years, Hilden has established itself as one of the most reliable and dedicated suppliers of bottling and packaging lines to almost all reputed bottlers, not only in India but also in neighboring countries.

Hilden has manufacturing facilities spread across 30,000 sq. ft., a three-storied structure in Mumbai, and 25,000 sq. ft. at Baroda in the state of Gujarat, housing an R&D Centre with state-of-the-art CAD designing facilities, machine shops, assembly and testing shops, training rooms, stringent quality-control facilities, etc. Hilden undertakes the supply of complete automatic bottling and packaging lines up to 720 BPM capacity in the field of beverages, fruit juices, mineral water, breweries, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, and allied industries, having a prestigious list of customers. The main machines manufactured by Hilden are Rinser Filler Capper, Bottle Washers, Pressure / Volumetric Fillers & Cappers, Hotmelt Roll-Feed Labelers, Sticker Labelers, Case Packers, Bottle Warmers, Air Conveyors, Chain Conveyors, etc.

In the last decade, Hilden & Tula have worked as a team and installed complete bottling lines for glass as well as PET bottles for juices, carbonated beverages, beer, ketchup, alcohol, pulpy products, shampoo, edible oil, mineral water, flavored water, ready-to-drink beverages, and many other liquid industries. We have complete in-house capability, including our own design team working with the latest 2D & 3D software, and a programming team for complete bottling line automation. We use the best and latest equipment in our machines so that they are at par with any manufacturer in the world. We have many successful installations in India, Zambia, Mozambique, Congo, Kenya, Bahrain, Tanzania, Nigeria, Niger, Angola, and many other countries. The Hilden & Tula team will always remain dedicated to giving the best equipment as well as service to our large base of customers.

To cater to the large demand from our customers all around the world, Hilden & Tula are expanding with a 100,000 sq. ft. factory, 90 km away from our head office in Mumbai, at Palghar, with the latest state-of-the-art facilities like CNC machining centers, etc. This factory will be operational by July 2011.
